Code of Conduct

  • The Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District is committed to providing a safe and orderly school environment where students may receive and district personnel may deliver quality educational services without disruption or interference. The District further believes that a Code of Conduct provides a foundation for the continual learning process without disruption or interference of educational services. Responsible behavior by the school community, students, teachers, other District personnel, parent/guardians and other visitors is essential to achieving this goal.

We also believe that parent/guardian support and involvement are vital. All segments of the school community play an equal role in the education of our students, and by fulfilling their responsibilities, provide an environment in which the student achieves his/her maximum potential.

The District has a definitive set of expectations for conduct on school property and at school functions. These expectations are based on the principles of civility, mutual respect, citizenship, character, honesty and integrity. We are committed to creating a safe learning environment where all community members are responsible for maintaining a climate of mutual respect.
