Substitute Certified Employment

  • The Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District is seeking both certified and non-certified teachers in all subject areas and grade levels. Our school district is comprised of four schools, pre-K through Grade 12. This is a great opportunity for certified teachers to gain experience in the classroom setting through their work with a diverse population while implementing instructional strategies and restorative practices to support academic and socio-emotional needs. Selected candidates will be contacted on an ongoing basis. Thank you for your interest in Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District.  

    Certified applicants:

    • Must possess a NYS teaching certificate
    • Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education
    • Certified applicants will be paid at a rate of $125.00/day, with an increase to $135.00/day after 20 days of service.

    Non-certified applicants: 

    • Bachelors degree
    • Experience working with school-aged children
    • Non-certified applicants will be paid at a rate of $125.00/day and can work a maximum of 40 days.
