Transferring Schools

  • Transferring is the process of un-enrolling from one school and enrolling in a different one. This differs from regular academic progression (moving to the next school within a school district). Going from second grade at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School to third grade at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School is a part of the regular academic progression. It does not require a family to take any action.

    When a family who lives within the Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District’s boarders decides that their student will be attending a new school that is not a part of the regular academic progression, they will need to complete a new registration.
