    *Alternative sequence option -- Students pursuing an Advanced Regents diploma may choose to complete 1 credit of a language other than English and a 5-credit sequence in a career or technical area as an alternative to the LOTE requirement of 3 credits and the Comprehensive Exam.  These areas include Art, Music, Business, Technology, or Career & Tech Ed (Potter).

    ^Regents Diploma “Pathways 4+1 Option” allows students to pass 4 Regents Exams (one English, one History, one Mathematics, and one Science) and then have the option to take an additional exam in History, Mathematics, or Science, or a state-approved exam in CTE, LOTE or the Arts. 

     **For students with Special Needs, a local diploma option is available as a safety net only.  Students are still expected to strive for the Advanced Regents diploma. 

     

    Diplomas

    To earn the Honors designation on a Regents or Advanced Regents diploma, a student must achieve an average of 90.0% on all Regents exams required for that particular diploma.  

    Students earning an Advanced Regents diploma who pass three Regents exams in Math or three in Science with scores of 85 or better on each exam will earn an annotation of Mastery in Math or Science.
